Help: video tutorials
Six short videos, one task each, recorded on a demo file with fictional patients. Each one ends on the rule to remember.
Every video has its words on screen, so it can be watched without sound.
Tutorial 10:40
A new patient
The rule to remember: You own the file.
What the video says
- This is how you add a new patient in MedCoord.
- Click New patient, at the top of the patient list.
- The name, the date of birth and the allergies are enough to start. The rest comes in from the documents.
- Click Create patient, and the file is ready.
- The file is yours: you decide who else sees it.
Tutorial 20:57
A document and the proposal
The rule to remember: Nothing enters the file without your confirmation.
What the video says
- Now we upload a medical letter to Ion Popescu's file.
- Choose the file or, on a phone, take a photo of the document. Pick the category and click Upload and read.
- MedCoord reads the text and suggests the consultation, the medication and the alerts, next to the document. It is only a proposal.
- Compare each field with the document. Correct what is wrong, then check the medication it found.
- Only when you click Confirm and add to file does the information go into the timeline.
Tutorial 30:51
Medication and alerts
The rule to remember: The app flags. The doctor decides.
What the video says
- Here is the active medication, with the dose and the schedule.
- Each medicine shows when it is taken, morning, noon or evening, in words the patient understands.
- Alerts show what needs attention, for example a blood thinner ahead of a procedure.
- Checks flag medicines listed twice, or details that do not match between documents.
- When a problem is dealt with, you mark it resolved.
Tutorial 40:59
The summary and the doctor's link
The rule to remember: The summary goes out only once you have reviewed it.
What the video says
- Before a consultation, you prepare the summary for the doctor.
- Click Generate new version. The summary is built from the whole file.
- Read it, correct it if needed and save it as reviewed. Only the reviewed version reaches the doctor.
- Under Share, create a read-only link with a label and an expiry. The doctor needs no account.
- Copy it or send it straight to the doctor, by email or WhatsApp. You can revoke it at any time.
Tutorial 50:46
The patient portal
The rule to remember: The code is a password: keep it private.
What the video says
- The patient can see their file on their phone, in the portal. You turn it on under Share.
- Click Issue new code and you get an access code. The old code stops working.
- Tell the patient the code or write it on their sheet. Never in the same message as the portal address.
- Send the portal address separately, with the message already written.
Tutorial 60:48
The working day
The rule to remember: A screen left open closes by itself.
What the video says
- In the morning you start from the patient list: overdue items and the next 14 days are at the top.
- Sort by what is critical and filter by alerts, overdue items or your team.
- In Account settings you can get an email every morning with what is waiting. It holds only numbers and initials, never medical details.
- If you leave the computer, the session closes by itself. Click Stay signed in if you are there.
